Several methods of evaluation are used to measure each Leadership Associate’s mastery of the performance standards required in the CoLA program. These methods include:
Demonstrated leadership proficiencies established as the standards for the Principal Certificate
Mastery of Instructional Leadership Development (ILD)
Mastery of Professional Development and Appraisal System (PDAS)
Successful completion of a stewardship/ action research project
Passing score on the Principal TExES examination
Successful performance on local district administrator appraisal/evaluation process
Recommendation for certification by mentor, district, and CoLA staff
