The Preschool LRE Initiative was designed to assist districts in assessing the quality of educational programs for preschool children with disabilities in the least restrictive environment. The goals for this effort are to increase the number of preschool students served in least restrictive settings, to assist districts in assessing and expanding their current continuum of placements for preschool students with disabilities, and improve the quality of services and partnerships with other service providers.
