The Texas Administrative Code (TAC), Title 19, Part II, Chapter 110 required that school districts begin implementing the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills September 1, 1998. The Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills identify what our students should know and be able to do at every grade and in every content area.

Education Service Center, Region 20 offers training and customized technical assistance that supports districts, administrators and teachers as they implement a TEKS-based curriculum.
