By participating in this academy, central office administrators will enhance their leadership capacity through job-embedded training sessions, conferences, and a legislative critical issues luncheon. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to earn over 40 hours of training in compliance with TAC 232.851 while networking with their central office peers throughout the region.

Charter School AdministratorsCharter School Administrators
ESC-20 Charter School Leadership Academies and Board Training offer specialized training for campus administrators, business managers, central office administrators and board members. Sessions address unique and critical issues relevant to Texas charter schools and are designed to assist charter school staff in understanding and fulfilling TEA requirements.

First Time Campus Administrator AcademyFirst Time Campus Administrator Academy
The First Time Campus Administrator Academy provides a 2-year systemic induction experience to first-time campus administrators. The academy assists administrators in developing effective leadership skills as they transition into the role of campus administrator.

Assisting administrators in developing effective leadership skills, first-year courses are designed to be hands-on and interactive, allowing participants to form collaborative relationships amongst themselves.

Academy goals: (1) transition successfully from manager to instructional leader, (2) gain valuable leadership skills to use throughout your career, and (3) boost your effectiveness in increasing student achievement. 

Instructional Leadership Development

Instructional Leadership Development (ILD) is based on the state training models for certification of the Professional Development and Appraisal System (PDAS) for appraisers. The focus will be on curriculum, instruction, assessment, supervision, decision-making, organizational management, evaluation, community partnerships, and professional development. This session is a prerequisite for the PDAS Certification training and is a multiple day workshop.


Professional Development and Appraisal System

The Professional Development and Appraisal System (PDAS) is the state training model for appraiser certification. This three day training provides an in-depth study of the PDAS domains and criteria and covers the content and process of the appraisal system.  Pre-Requisites: Instructional Leadership Development (ILD).
