The Co-op services over 100 members through an annual bid process open to vendors and manufacturers in order to solicit pricing for the upcoming bid term. Bids are maintained throughout each program year. The Co-op strives to communicate the most current news and updates within the state of Texas.
The 2013 Purchasing Co-op solicits pricing on items related to food service operations. Technical assistance and an extensive web site are available to all members. The Co-op complies with federal, state and local procurement laws. Membership in the Co-op is open to all public, charter and private schools, as well as profit and non-profit organizations. Buying power and combining procurement related procedures results in a cost savings to members.
Commodity Processing
The 2013 Purchasing Co-op supports member districts in combining their USDA planned assistance level dollars into commodity processing. Members select awarded manufacturers' highest quality nutritional food-based products.
The Co-op provides technical assistance and cost savings. Membership in this Co-op is open to all public, charter, and private schools.
2013 Food Product Show
This is an annual event which hosts vendors and manufacturers from across the nation. Food service directors and staff are invited to attend, view and sample new products and determine new items for the following school year.
