E+MAT is a comprehensive standards-based assessment with items directly correlated to the Prekindergarten Guidelines and the TEKS for Kindergarten through 2nd grade.
Each kit contains:
• an E+MAT manual with test administration procedures
• student data records, and
• task/activity cards to facilitate the process.
This tool is ideal for identifying at-risk students and determining students’ understanding of mathematics knowledge and skills.

A CD-ROM provides staff with quick access to all teacher and student forms, including student data checklists, student assessment pages, and summary data forms (Grades 1 and 2).
Task and Activity Cards
Colored task and activity cards are included to guide the test administration. Simply use these cards, along with classroom manipulatives to administer E+MAT.
E+MAT student data sheets correlate with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) strands and TEKS. Data sheets may be collected over time as pre-and post assessments within a school year or from one grade level to the next in order to track students’ mathematical proficiency.
Aligned with the NCTM mathematical strands and TEKS, 1st and 2nd grade assessments also objective-specific assessments which may be administered to individual students, small groups, or the entire class.
