netVision20 will be connecting with Santa Claus at his workshop at the North Pole through the magic of videoconference! Your students in grades K-3 are invited to participate in this exciting opportunity to persuade Santa personally that they have been good this year!
Step 1: Check the schedule above for available times. Contact Susan Altgelt at (210) 370-5639 or email to be added to the schedule. Please do not put more than two classes in each session so that Santa may speak to each child individually.
Step 2: Once you are confirmed for a session, have your students do one of the following:
Write a persuasive letter indicating the good deeds they have done this past year. For younger students the teacher may submit a class letter.
Write a compare and contrast letter that compares the qualities in someone they admire with Santa's wonderful qualities.
Write a poem about being good to other people, or
Submit a piece of student created artwork that shows the student "doing" something good.
NOTE: Please do not send Santa a list of desired presents!
Step 3:
Mail the letter, poems, or artwork NO LATER than December 11 (December 4 for the December 9th program). Please use this coversheet. The elves will make sure that Santa receives them AND calls on some of your students during the session. It is very important that we have ALL your students’ names. 4. Review the story “The Night Before Christmas” with your students. Santa will be reading this to them and asking them to help him finish some sentences.
Program 2:
A Visit with Mrs. Claus (PreK-3rd)
TEKS: K.1CE, 1.1CE, 2.1CE, 3.1 CE
Your students will have the opportunity to ask Mrs. Claus questions about Santa and life at the North Pole. Mrs. Claus will also read the students a story about Santa and teach the class the "Reindeer Pokey." Students may also sing Jingle Bells with Mrs. Claus.
Step 1: To register, check the schedule for available times. Contact Susan Altgelt at (210) 370-5639 or email to be added to the schedule. Please do not put more than two classes in each session so that Mrs. Claus may address each child by name.
Step 2: Once you are confirmed for the program, email a list of students' first names to Susan Altgelt. Mrs. Claus will mention each student by first name.
