The Partnership for 21st Century Skills is the leading advocacy organization focused on infusing 21st Century skills into education. The organization brings together the business community, education leaders, and policy makers to define a powerful vision for 21st century education to ensure every child's success as citizens and workers in the 21st Century by providing tools and resources to help facilitate and drive change.

The Partnership for 21st Century Skills Professional Development Affiliate Program equips individuals and organizations with resources and assistance in integrating 21st century skills into their professional development practice.

Education Service Center, Region 20 is a professional development affiliate of the Partnership for 21st Century Skills which supports the integration of 21st century skills into all aspects of teaching and learning.


Instructional Technology & Media offers numerous programs and services to assist schools to effectively integrate technology in the K-12 classroom. These programs and services support the No Child Left Behind Education Law, the Texas Long Range Plan for Technology 2006-2020, and address the Teacher Technology Competencies as well as the Technology Applications TEKS.   • Apple Training
    As an Apple Authorized Training Center, ESC-20 offers regularly-scheduled courses for Pro Apps end-user certification preparation as well as additional training opportunities on  curriculum integration with Apple software applications. For more details, please contact Donald Hawkins. 

  • Promethean Training
    As a Promethean Training Center, ESC-20 offers ActivInspire Basic, Intermediate and Advanced courses as well as customized training to meet your district's unique needs. For more details or to schedule training, please contact Shannon Baumann.

  • Intel Training
    ESC-20 provides Intel Teach Essentials and Thinking with Technology courses throughout the year. For more details or to register for a course, please contact Shannon Baumann, Senior Intel Trainer.

  • Professional Development
    ESC-20 offers an array of professional growth options in the areas of technology integration, library services, Career and Technical Education, and leadership to fit everyone's needs. Check the iTECH Summer 2010 Catalog or iLearning for course offerings.

  • STaR Chart, Technology Planning and E-Rate Assistance
    Instructional Technology staff provides assistance to districts with the development and revision of technology plans to meet the recommendations for LEAs in the Long Range Plan for Technology 2006-2020, as well as to meet requirements for NCLB Title II, Part D and E-Rate funding.   • Textbook Preview Services
    Conforming instructional materials adopted under proclamation 2011 are available for preview in the ESC-20 Media building. A Textbook Preview of these instructional materials will be scheduled in January 2011.

  • Library Resource Roundup
    ESC-20 hosts an annual regional conference for librarians, media specialists,and all educators interested in supporting information literacy. For additional information, please contact Marty Rossi.
