Advocating For Your Child - Preventing Conflict in Special Education Covers the formal and informal indicators of conflict, state and national statistics and trends, and how to know how our own schools or districts are doing in this important area. Specific recommendations for building strong and effective teams are also presented. The material has been developed into Nick Martin's Guide to Collaboration for IEP Teams (Brookes Publishing, 2005).
Strengthening Relationships When Our Children Have Special Needs Presents an overview of the ten challenges commonly associated with raising a child with a disability. This topic is the subject of Nick's book by the same name, published by Future Horizons in 2004 and also available in Spanish.
