MAY 15 The Summer Institute for Educators will take place at ESC-20 from July 22 – August 2. This two-week institutes offers a variety of PD opportunities that will provide a variety options for educators. Participants register and attend the specific days/session that are of interest to them. Summer 2013 Instructional Services Professional Development options can be accessed at Curriculum Forum or through PDF attachment.

Registration for TAKS Testing in July
MAY 9 Out of School Registration for July TAKS testing is taking place now. You may register online April 29 – June 7 at www.texasassessment.com (the registration links are on the lower right corner). The Site Directory is available alphabetically by city on a link also provided on the Pearson site. Education Service Center, Region 20 will no longer be a testing site so early registration is key as not all sites take walk-ins. Education Scholarships to Walden University
MARCH 21 Walden University, an ESC-20 educational partner, is offering in 2013 a wide range of scholarships for educators. These Walden-More than $370,000 in Scholarships for Educators are available to new students who enroll in different degree programs, including bachelor, master and doctoral programs. ESC-20 Collaborative Product Development Team Wins
MARCH 1 The ESC-20 Collaborative Product Development team won 30 gold, four silver, and one bronze award at the 2013 Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) awards ceremony. Of the gold awards, three products won Best of Category. Awards were given for graphic design, video production and online development. Congratulations to our talented staff!

FEBRUARY 15 Do you want to become a Principal? The Cohort of Leadership Associates (CoLA) is hosting Information Sessions to learn about the ESC 20 alternative principal certification program. We are currently taking application for the new cohort that begins in JUNE 2013.
