2013 Purchasing Cooperative: Commodity Processing and Food Purchasing Collective Buying Results in Huge Savings The 2013 Food Purchasing Co-op uses the collective buying power of over 100 members to provide cost savings in two categories: Food Purchasing and Commodity Processing. Technical assistance and other helpful resources are also included. Membership in the Co-op is open to all public, charter, and private schools.

The Texas Adolescent Literacy Academies (TALA) for Middle School Teachers The 80th Texas legislature provided direction and funding for the statewide implementation of adolescent literacy academies for teachers of grades 6 through 8. These academies are intended to give English language arts/reading and content area teachers successful, research-based strategies for improving their students academic literacy. Stipends are available for those that attend.
