Child Nutrition Summer Workshop Luncheon

Attending the Child Nutrition Summer Workshop June 23 & 24, 2009?
Sign up for lunch and support the ESC-20 2009 Believe & Achieve United Way Campaign!

Tuesday: Lasagna, Salad, Breadstick, Cookie or Brownie, and Iced Tea
Wednesday: Taco Salad Delight (Lettuce, Tomato, Ground Picadillo, Tortilla Strips, Black Olives, Cheese, and Special Spicy Ranch Dressing), Cookie or Brownie, and Iced Tea

Assisting Districts with Compliance

In order to assist school districts in compliance with bus driver testing regulations, Region 20 offers physical examinations along with drug and alcohol testing, on-site collection, and assistance in the design and review of related policies. The 2013 Food Purchasing Co-op uses the collective buying power of over 100 members to provide cost savings in two categories: Food Purchasing and Commodity Processing.  Technical assistance and other helpful resources are also included. Membership in the Co-op is open to all public, charter, and private schools.

TALA

The Texas Adolescent Literacy Academies (TALA) for Middle School Teachers
The 80th Texas legislature provided direction and funding for the statewide implementation of adolescent literacy academies for teachers of grades 6 through 8. These academies are intended to give English language arts/reading and content area teachers successful, research-based strategies for improving their students academic literacy. Stipends are available for those that attend.
