Principal's Individual Assessment (PIA) The assessment is an SBEC approved assessment developed by Region 5 and Lamar University. Participants engage in six activities that simulate twenty-six administrator leadership skills that are submitted to assessors for their evaluation. Two of the six activities include the delivery of a videotaped campus action plan and a committee meeting brainstorming session on how to increase student achievement. A substantial amount of the assessment is done as pre-work that the participant brings with them on the day of assessment. Two days after assessment, participants receive feedback from a certified assessor, as well as, formulate a five year plan to target specific areas for professional growth in their chosen profession.
