Associate Evaluation

Several methods of evaluation are used to
measure each Leadership Associate’s mastery
of the performance standards required in the CoLA program. These methods include:

• Demonstrated leadership proficiencies
  established as the standards for the Principal Certificate

• Mastery of Instructional Leadership
  Development (ILD)

• Mastery of Professional Development
  and Appraisal System (PDAS)

• Successful completion of a stewardship/ action research project

• Passing score on the Principal TExES
  examination

• Successful performance on local district administrator appraisal/evaluation process

• Recommendation for certification by mentor, district, and CoLA staff
