Take a family trip to the local public library. Check out children's literature that has pictures of persons with disabilities. Read the story together and discuss the diverse abilities and challenges that some people live with.
Discuss the vision and hearing senses and how we use each one. Identify ideas of what it would be like to not be able to see or hear.
