The primary desired outcome from all fatherhood activities is to improve the father's understanding of the unique role he can play in the life of his child helping him understand that no one else can take his place.
The Family Partnership Agreement (FPA) is completed with each family. Family Services Associates help families set goals and strategies for completing those goals.
Family Services Associates do follow-up on the FPA goals and review the Family Outcomes Summary of Services that consist of the results from screenings and follow-up work conducted with the child throughout the year.
Parent Orientation outlines specific activities to inform parents about what will be happening with their child throughout the school year. It also informs parents of activities available to them through the program.
Parents are invited to attend Volunteer Training if they plan on volunteering in the classroom.
Families have many training opportunities, including Adult Basic Education classes, computer skills, ESL, and parent education.
Parents are involved with the program Advisory Committees and Self-Assessment process.
Families have the opportunity to attend a field trip to a nearby Junior College to tour the facilities, talk with counselors, and learn about financial-aid opportunities.
Volunteers and Policy Council members are recognized and awarded at the end of each school year for their participation and contributions made to the program.
