Parents continue to have opportunities to grow by attending parent committee meetings, training, and workshops concerning different topics on mental wellness issues.
The Wellness Specialist and Family Service Associates assist parents in understanding wellness issues during home visits and parent conferences.
Guidance and counseling sessions are available for parents through the program Wellness Specialist, contracted Wellness Consultant, local community agencies and outside agencies.
Parents and staff are trained in the area of Child Abuse and Violence Prevention.
A contracted Wellness Consultant observes the classrooms and provides input on how to address the needs of children and staff.
Classroom presentations are provided to the children to support self-esteem building, friendships, drug awareness and violence prevention.
Individual and small-group counseling is available for children.
