The Consulting Services component of the Information Technology Division at ESC-20 provides administrative software and support to enable Texas school districts and charter schools to conduct daily operations in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Our consultants provide customer support for the iTCCS and RSCCC Business, Student, txConnect, txGradebook, txMyZone, and PEIMS software applications. We also provide complete PEIMS data submissions support, and training for the Texas Education Agency’s TEASE applications (Edit+, PID, PET, and TREx).

Our consultants work with school district and charter school staff, providing comprehensive support for all aspects of using iTCCS and RSCCC software, and for PEIMS data submissions. A summary of the services and support we provide is listed below.

General Support
  • Support clients via telephone, email, walk-in, and remote desktop for business, student and PEIMS applications and system configuration

  • Provide on-site support during district visits

  • Conduct workshops and user training on business, student and PEIMS applications, data access and cyclical procedures

  • Train remotely via video conference or remote desktop

  • Develop and distribute workshop training materials and software reference guides

  • Inform users of updates/enhancements

  • Provide detailed documentation for new software prior to release to clients

  • Install software and perform all database updates, maintenance, backup and recovery (iTCCS and RSCCC web-hosted users)

  • Distribute software and installation instructions to RSCCC clients

  • Provide installation and system configuration support to RSCCC clients

  • Create data queries to assist iTCCS and RSCCC clients

  • Assist clients in identifying file or data problems and suggest methods for corrective procedures

  • Define and design functions to modify or enhance business, student and PEIMS systems to meet user requests

  • Interface with iTCCS and RSCCC programming staff to resolve database and software issues, to initiate and implement special requests from clients, and to assist with application testing

  • Perform necessary follow-up for System Discrepancy Reports and special requests

  • Facilitate/host user group meetings

  • Provide on-call services after hours and on weekends

  • Respond to Request for Proposals from districts interested in converting to iTCCS or RSCCC

School Business Administration and Management Services
  • Training and support for all iTCCS Business System applications: Payroll, Personnel, Position Management, Finance, Requisition/Warehouse, Budget, Budget Change Request, Cafeteria Management, Work Order, Asset Management, Accounts Receivable, Employee Access, Security Administration, Data Reporters, Data queries, ODBC access for queries, reports, file exports

  • Training and support for all RSCCC Business System applications: Payroll, Human Resources, Finance, Requisition, Budget, Amended Budget, Asset Management, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, Query Module, Security Administration, ODBC access for queries, reports, file exports.

School Student Administration and Management Services
  • Training and support for all iTCCS Student System applications: Registration, Attendance, Grade Reporting, Scheduling, Discipline, Special Education, Graduation Plan and PGP, Health, Historical, Test Scores, Federal Lunch Application, Security Administration, Data Reporters, Dataqueries, ODBC access for queries, reports, file exports, web-based txGradebook (teacher grade book), txConnect (parent portal), and txMyZone (student course requests).

  • Training and support for all RSCCC Student System applications: Registration, Attendance, Grade Reporting, Scheduling, Discipline, Special Education, Health, Historical, Test Scores, Security Administration, web-based txGradebook (teacher grade book), txConnect (parent portal), txMyZone (student course requests), ODBC access for queries, reports, file exports.

RSCCC Web-Hosted Services
  • RSCCC, txGradebook, txConnect, txMyZone software and databases hosted on ESC-20 servers.

  • All DBA and system administration functions performed by ESC-20 staff, including software setup, updates, systems maintenance, data backups and off-site storage.

PEIMS Services
  • Training and Support for all PEIMS Data Submissions, Data Standards, PID (Person Identification Database), PET (PID Enrollment Tracking), TREx (Texas Records Exchange), Data Integrity, and Edit+.

  • Training and Support for all PEIMS data extracts, reports, and maintenance using iTCCS and RSCCC systems.
