These are some examples of programs that are used in several Region 20 districts.

PAL (Peer Assistance and Leadership) – provides guidance and mentoring for peers and younger children on issues like self-esteem, drug awareness and social skills. PALs also enrich their community through service learning projects and extended volunteer activities. http://www.palusa.org

Character Counts! – the purpose of the Character Counts! Coalition is to fortify the lives of America’s young people with consensus ethical values called the “Six Pillars of Character.” These values, which transcend divisions of race, creed, politics, gender and wealth, are: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. http://www.charactercounts.org
